Directly responsible for the recruitment, evaluation, and supervision of Recreation Operations; student staff, supervision and training of the highest student leadership position, Recreation Supervisors. Makes frequent, autonomous procedure and policy judgment calls based on proficiency in risk management, customer service, and resource management.

Senior Facility Manager - 66959

Responsible for the general repair, maintenance, and upkeep of the facilities managed by the Recreation Department. Handles the purchasing of basic supplies and materials to maintain the facilities. Assists with the receiving of deliveries. Performs basic maintenance & repair, equipment set-up for classes and events, inspection of facilities, assists with field lining, vehicle maintenance, and other miscellaneous duties as assigned. Other duties assigned may also include various cleaning and maintenance tasks.

Assistant Director, Sport Programs - 67444

Responsible for the design, implementation, coordination, and the general supervision of the Recreation Department's Intramural, Sport Club (~28 teams) and Youth programs, which serve students, staff, faculty, and community members. Supervises the full time staff of Intramural Coordinator, Sport Club Coordinator, Youth Programs Coordinator, Strength & Conditioning Coach, and Head Athletic Trainer. Provides leadership though indirect supervision to approximately 475 part time student employees.

The Youth Programs Staff represent the Department of Recreation and all Youth Programs to Recreation staff, parents, participants, and the community. Youth Programs staff members are responsible for the general safety, development, and engagement of youth within our programs, ranging from ages 5-14 years old. These programs include, but are not limited to UCSB Spring Day Camp and UCSB Summer Day Camp. It is important to understand the high responsibility of this role due to our program’s long standing history and the trust the surrounding community puts into the programs we provide for their children. We are looking for people who are energetic, enthusiastic, and love working with children.
