Adventure Programs runs a teambuilding challenge course on campus where groups of all ages come to participate in teamwork games and high element personal challenges.  Staff are asked to lead games, manage groups, and belay climbers.

Adventure Climbing Center

With 3 crack features, a bouldering area, 7 auto-belay stations, and 30 feet tall, the Adventure Climbing Center is one of Entre Prises' "largest imprint wall on the west coast." Desk staff at the center assume the role of a “vertical lifeguard,” meaning they are responsible for supervising climbers for safety, checking in climbers, managing paperwork, and tending to the general upkeep of the wall. Essentially, wall staff perform similar duties a lifeguard would at the pool, except they work at a climbing wall. We also employ an number of indoor climbing instructors and route setters.

Leadership Training Course | Outdoor Guides | Instructors

Trip Leaders, Guides, Assistant Instructors- Adventure Programs is proud to offer a comprehensive development opportunity known as the Leadership Training Course (LTC). The courses is designed to train interested people in climbing, kayaking, canyoneering, group management, risk management, outdoor leadership, outdoor cooking, wilderness first aid, wilderness survival/ primitive living skills and trip leadership/guiding. Additionally, you will go on a Colorado River Canoe and a backpacking trip. At the end of LTC, participants can apply to be on staff to work on a volunteer basis as kayak, canyoneering, and/or climbing class assistant and/or overnight trip leader.  LTC is a great way to gain important experience in a variety of outdoor skills as well as the “usual” way staff become paid kayak/climbing instructors, paid program coordinators, and paid guides.  LTC spans five-months and is offered annually every Fall through Winter quarters.

Instructors- Instructors are individuals with extensive experience in their field who are asked to lead classes. Many of our instructors begin with LTC and then train to instructor level.
