Junior Lifeguards
If you cancel before your session begins, you will receive a refund, minus a $50 administration fee. All cancellations must be made in writing (email debbiemilesdutton@ucsb.edu).
Refunds will not be granted once your session has begun.

Summer Day Camp and Surf & Kayak Camp
All refund and transfer requests must be emailed to the Youth Programs Coordinator at camps@recreation.ucsb.edu. Please allow a minimum of 48 hours for refunds to be initiated. *Additional fees may apply for transfers*
Refund requests will not be granted if it is received less than one week before your session begins.
Refunds will be granted if received in the following timeline:
Two or more weeks before session start: Refund will be the cost of camp paid, minus a $25 processing fee and $5 per session cancellation fee.
One week before session: Refund will be the cost of camp paid, minus a $25 processing fee and $20 per session cancellation fee.
Swim Lessons
Only purchase lessons that your child can attend.
Requests for refunds or transfers must be submitted to swimlessons@recreation.ucsb.edu no later than 10 days before your first class. All refunds, transfers, or credits are assessed a fee of $25 per child, per class.
In case of illness or injury, requests will only be considered when accompanied by a doctor's note and letter requesting exemption. The $25 fee still applies.
